Women\u2019s Service Club of Oxford, Mississippi\u00a0<\/strong>is excited to announce its participation in the\u00a010th Annual Night for Nonprofits<\/strong>, hosted by the\u00a0Lafayette Oxford Foundation for Tomorrow (LOFT)<\/strong>. This prestigious event brings together local nonprofits to celebrate their contributions to the community and share innovative projects that align with LOFT’s pillars of support: education, health and human services, arts and culture, community improvement, and municipal support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are honored to be selected for the 10th Annual Night for Nonprofits,\u201d said Robin Buchannon<\/strong>. \u201cThis event provides an invaluable opportunity to showcase our project and its potential impact on supporting existing area programs whose primary objectives are to serve those with brain disease, brain injuries, or brain disorders, and that support those who care for others.<\/strong>\u00a0Being part of this event shines a light on our mission and brings us one step closer to achieving our mission and goals.<\/strong>\u00a0We\u2019re excited to connect with the community and gain the support necessary to bring this vision to life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s Night for Nonprofits will take place on\u00a0Tuesday, August 12, 2025,<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a06 pm<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0Powerhouse Community Arts Center<\/strong>. LOFT\u2019s Executive Director,\u00a0Dr. Jody Holland<\/strong>, shared, \u201cThe event will allow community members to engage with nonprofits and vote for their favorite initiatives. It\u2019s a great way to support these deserving organizations and help raise funds for their projects.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the event, nonprofits will compete for several awards, including the $5,000 Crowd Favorite Award<\/strong>, which will be determined by live voting from event attendees. Alongside the Crowd Favorite Award, nonprofits will have a chance to win the $5,000 Chance to Shine Raffle<\/strong> and the $500 Board Member Engagement Award<\/strong> for organizations that bring at least 50% of their board members to the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBy participating in this event, we aim to foster community connections, raise funds for critical projects, and celebrate the incredible work being done right here in our own backyard,\u201d added Dr. Holland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
