The Governor\u2019s School is a residential honors program established in 1981 by Governor <strong>William F. Winter<\/strong> at Mississippi University for Women. The Governor\u2019s School is designed to provide academic, creative, and leadership experiences for a limited number of rising high school juniors and seniors who have demonstrated exceptional ability and achievement in their studies and who show high intellectual, creative, and leadership potential. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\">Donovan Smith is the son of <strong>Graham<\/strong> and <strong>Jennifer Harrell<\/strong> of Oxford, Mississippi. Donovan has just completed the 11th grade at <strong>Lafayette High School<\/strong> where he has received the following awards: National Honor Society Certificate of Membership, The National Beta Club Certificate of Membership, Mu Alpha Theta Certificate of Membership, and Graphic Design II Certificate of Academic Excellence. His additional community activities include More Than a Meal, volunteering at the Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society, and Oxford Mayor\u2019s Youth Council. He plans to pursue Aerospace Engineering as his career. At Governor\u2019s School, he studied <em>Compos Mentis: What is Normal?<\/em> and <em>Inconceivable!
