On May 15, 2025, the Oxford Police Department<\/strong> responded to Brandywine Drive<\/strong> to take a report of alleged gunshots.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While shell casings were found at the scene, no one was injured. Officers were able to locate both suspects. Clarente Alexander<\/strong>, 33, of Oxford, Mississippi<\/strong> and Xavian Ivy<\/strong>, 21, of Oxford, were taken into custody.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexander was charged with possession of a firearm and accessory after the fact. Ivy was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of felon in possession of a firearm. Each were taken before a Municipal Court judge for their initial bond hearing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
