{"id":148985,"date":"2025-05-06T13:59:41","date_gmt":"2025-05-06T18:59:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/?p=148985"},"modified":"2025-05-06T13:59:44","modified_gmt":"2025-05-06T18:59:44","slug":"oxford-middle-school-robotics-team-advances-to-world-robotics-championship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/oxford-middle-school-robotics-team-advances-to-world-robotics-championship\/","title":{"rendered":"Oxford Middle School Robotics Team Advances to World Robotics Championship"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Oxford School District<\/strong> is proud to celebrate the <strong>Oxford Middle School<\/strong> <strong>Robotics Team<\/strong>, \u201cThe Cookie Monsters,\u201d\u00a0for advancing to the <strong>World Robotics Championship<\/strong> in Dallas, Texas this May.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This outstanding achievement marks the first time that a team from Oxford has qualified for this prestigious international competition. This milestone reflects months of problem-solving, strategic thinking, and determination by the team.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cThe Cookie Monsters\u201d<\/strong> team includes the following Oxford Middle School students: <strong>Dylan Barnett<\/strong>, <strong>William James<\/strong>, <strong>Sagan Karthikeyan<\/strong>, and <strong>Andrew Steimle<\/strong>. Their team is led by <strong>Conwill Cox<\/strong>, Oxford Middle School computer science and engineering teacher and robotics coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMaking it to the World Robotics Championship has been a goal of our organization for the past several years . . . I am so proud of my students for accomplishing this milestone!\u201d Mrs. Cox said. \u201cWhile at the World Championship, I really hope they forge connections with others who are just as passionate as they are about robotics and technology.
