Event remembers students, faculty, staff and emeriti who died in 2024-25<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0<\/strong>University of Mississippi<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0will honor members of the campus community who died during 2024-25 at an annual Memorial Ceremony, set for 4 pm Thursday, May 1, 2025, in Paris Yates Chapel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We feel deep sorrow when we lose a member of our Ole Miss community,” Chancellor Glenn Boyce<\/strong> said. “By gathering during the University Memorial Ceremony<\/strong>, our hope is that we will have a reflective time to honor those that we lost, while expressing care and compassion through our shared remembrance, thoughts and prayers.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All members of the Lafayette-Oxford-University<\/strong> community are invited to attend. For assistance related to a disability, email\u00a0events@olemiss.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ASB President Jack Jones<\/strong>, Staff Council President Lolita Gregory<\/strong> and Faculty Senate Chair Hans Sinha<\/strong> will read the names of the deceased. The University Student String Quartet<\/strong> will provide musical accompaniment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
