How long have you lived in Oxford?<\/strong> About three years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early art experience: <\/strong>From an early age, I\u2019ve been drawing and doodling, trying to mimic still life and get good at realism. I even had a little business going on drawing for people whether it was for a project or personal drawings in middle school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Favorite visual artists:<\/strong> Kerri James Marshall, Brad Mead, Wendy Barrett, Werner Bronkhorst, Anthony Hurd \u2026 I could go on honestly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Art school?<\/strong> I\u2019m currently a student at the University of Mississippi for Graphic Design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Favorite book or author:<\/strong> Talia Hibbert\u2019s The Brown Sisters<\/em> Trilogy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Favorite quote:<\/strong> \u201cPledge\u201d by Jehanne Dubrow. It\u2019s a beautiful poem that reminds me of my partner and a reminder to keep choosing your love everyday!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you work out of a studio? <\/strong>I have a home studio and access to the school studio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How many hours do you spend in your studio daily?<\/strong> The question is, how many hours don\u2019t I spend in the studio. It\u2019s honestly my home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most productive hours?<\/strong> I\u2019m a night owl\/early bird. When the world is asleep, that\u2019s when you can catch me awake!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Favorite project you\u2019ve completed:<\/strong> My most recent painting included graffiti, which I LOVED!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are three ideas you want to explore in art:<\/strong> The Black Experience, Queerness, and Feminism<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where can we see some of your art on display?<\/strong> I try to put my art on Instagram,but I haven\u2019t been the best at consistently posting on it though. @Dablueprintstudios<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you have a \u201cday job\u201d?<\/strong> If so, where? I work on Campus at the IdeaLab<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Favorite music\/bands:<\/strong> Right now, NeoSoul and R&B have been my go-to, so Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Alex Isley, Lucky Daye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are some of your other hobbies?<\/strong> Going to the park, the gun range, traveling to other cities for a quick getaway, hanging with my partner and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where do you hang out in Oxford?<\/strong> Honestly, I hang out at Lamar Park or at home. This semester has been kicking my rear end, and I like to be in nature or at home to ground myself or just relax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aspirations:<\/strong> I aspire to be a lifelong learner, a futures trader, and a creative! I just want to live free without the pressures of capitalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
