The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks\u2019 (MDWFP)<\/strong> Mississippi Museum of Natural Science (MMNS)<\/strong> invites you to experience an unforgettable night under the stars with the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra (MSO)<\/strong> and NASA\u2019s Solar System Ambassadors<\/strong>. The 3rd\u00a0Annual Moonlight, Music, and Meteors<\/strong> will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025<\/strong>, from 7:30 pm until 10 pm<\/strong> at \u201cThe Den\u201d<\/strong> in beautiful LeFleur\u2019s Bluff State Park<\/strong>. Guests are invited to bring\u00a0lawn chairs or blankets\u00a0and enjoy a spectacular night of\u00a0live music, cosmic wonders,\u00a0family fun, and they might even see the Lyrid meteor shower. Tickets are $20 online until April 24 at Noon or $25 at the door:\u00a0https:\/\/www.mdwfp.com\/events\/moonlight-music-meteors-2025<\/a>. Concessions will be available to purchase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Celebration of Nature, Music, and Community<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This collaborative event between MDWFP, MMNS, The Mississippi Museum of Natural Science Foundation (MMNSF)<\/strong>, and MSO is supported in part by funding from the Mississippi Arts Commission<\/strong> and the National Endowment for the Arts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the museum was established in 1932, this year marks the 25th anniversary\u00a0of its\u00a0move to LeFleur\u2019s Bluff State Park. \u201cAs we celebrate the Museum\u2019s 25th year at LeFleur\u2019s Bluff, events like\u00a0Moonlight, Music, and Meteors\u00a0showcase what makes this place so special\u2014bringing people together to experience the beauty of nature in unforgettable ways,\u201d said Museum Director Angel Rohnke<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MMNSF, which helps support the Museum and this beloved event, echoed the sentiment: \u201cMoonlight is one of those magical nights where science, art, and nature blend perfectly. We\u2019re proud to support this unique experience and celebrate connecting families to Mississippi\u2019s wild side,\u201d\u00a0said\u00a0MMNSF Executive Director Susan Frazier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
