Delta Blues Museum<\/strong> is launching a new fundraising event series to honor musicians influenced by the Blues, demonstrating the power of Blues <\/strong>music and how it lives on in other genres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just in time for the 2025 Juke Joint Festival<\/strong>, Delta Blues Museum’s first \u201cCrossroads Connection\u201d event will take place on Wednesday, April 9th, as part of the Museum’s annual Muddy Waters<\/strong> Month celebration and will pay tribute to legendary rock band, ZZ Top<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2P public event is free and will be held at the Delta Blues Museum Stage. Local musicians, civic leaders and state dignitaries will help the Museum thank Mr. Billy Gibbons<\/strong> and ZZ Top for their long-time support of Blues music and culture of the Mississippi Delta<\/strong>. Live music will be provided by the award-winning Delta Museum Student Band alongside Mr. Gibbons, who will play the famed “Muddywood” guitar that the band commissioned for the Museum in 1988 to honor Muddy Waters’ legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 3P private, ticketed event features an intimate panel discussion and conversation with Mr. Gibbons, led by Delta Blues Ambassador and Blues legend Charlie Musselwhite<\/strong>. The discussion will focus on Muddy Waters’ influence on the musicians’ lives and musical careers. A private reception will follow in the Museum Gallery, where guests will have a chance to see the latest exhibits, meet the guests of honor and even take home a professional photo with Mr. Gibbons as a souvenir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets for the fundraiser are $150 plus processing fees (tax-deductible value is $100), and space is limited. Ticket purchases are limited to two tickets per purchaser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets will go on sale online only at 9 am Central on Monday, March 17, 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
