\n\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0by Klare Annette<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I find myself surrounded <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nby bridges singed && black <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nSome fires that were started <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nI wish I could take back <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Some started on the other side <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nBut most by me with selfish pride <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A few of them were built of stone <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n&& are now safe to cross <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nBut many made of sticks alone <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\ndon\u2019t make me feel a loss <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Most are now forgotten <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\n&& new ones hold their place <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nA few of them are rotten <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nwith nothing at their base <\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

With so many foundations <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nthat could be poorly laid, <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nI want to build some new ones <\/span><\/strong><\/span>
\nbut I am too afraid.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span> <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
