The red double-decker bus, imported from England in 1994, will be displayed as the centerpiece and inspiration for the two-day extravaganza held in the historic downtown square.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since the 2015 edition, organizers have selected a local artist from multiple submissions to be featured as the \u201cofficial artwork\u201d for the festival. This artwork is showcased on the festival merchandise, including t-shirts, posters, and light pole banners displayed around the downtown square. This year\u2019s distinguished artist is <strong>Sarah Buzzell<\/strong>, a <strong>Tupelo <\/strong>native and owner of <strong>\u201cBuzzy Studios\u201d<\/strong> through which she has written, illustrated, and published two children\u2019s books.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With more than 25 awards, including the <strong>2023 Best Large Festival<\/strong> by the <strong>Mississippi Tourism Association<\/strong>, <strong>Best Festival<\/strong> by <strong><em>Mississippi Magazine<\/em><\/strong> and a Top 20 event by the Southeast Tourism Society, Double Decker brings more than 75,000 attendees for a weekend celebrating food, music, and the arts. Highlights of this year\u2019s event include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>A Southern showcase \u2013 from tempting tasty bites to inspiring one-of-a-kind art<\/em>: The festival preserves its original charm while expanding, offering diverse Southern culinary delights and more than 150 art vendor booths. The artist showcase is open on Saturday from 10 am to 5:30 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Kid Zone and Blues Alley<\/em>: On Saturday, April 26, <strong>The Kid Zone<\/strong> will be in the Lafayette County Chancery Building parking lot from 10 am to 6 pm. The <strong>Blue Delta Jeans Company <\/strong>will host the <strong>\u201cBlue Delta Blues Alley\u201d <\/strong>with a musical lineup beside The Lyric beginning at noon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Music Lineup<\/em>: The music kicks off on <strong>Friday, April 25<\/strong> at <strong>4 pm<\/strong> with <strong>The Great Dying<\/strong>, followed by <strong>The Band of Heathens<\/strong>, <strong>Ole 60<\/strong>, and ending the night with <strong>Charley Crockett<\/strong>. <strong>Rust College\u2019s A Capella Choir<\/strong> opens the lineup on Saturday at 10 am, followed by <strong>Cedric Burnside<\/strong> \u2013 grandson of blues legend R.L.
