They rode up into Intruder In The Dust<\/em> as the Gowrie Twins. As kids in Oxford<\/strong>, we watched the movie in school, and I smiled when the brothers stepped over the fence in rhythm. After the movie, they stepped into local lore with their given names, Ephraim <\/strong>and Edmund Lowe<\/strong>, \u201cEph and Ed.\u201d When contacted by Hollywood about the pair possibly pursuing motion picture careers, Ed was said to have remarked, \u201cWhy would I want to leave this peaceful farm and go live out there in that rat race?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe movie was the only time I have ever seen the Lowe twins dressed differently.\u201d \u2014 Mary Lou Bonds<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
