On October 29, 2024, the Lafayette County Sheriff<\/strong>\u2019s Criminal Investigation Unit<\/strong> began an investigation regarding a Cyber Tip that was reported from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report was forwarded to the Lafayette County Sheriff\u2019s Office from New York State Police<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A report was made to New York authorities, that a male subject was communicating with a juvenile on social media accounts. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the male subject, later identified as Ronald Elliott-Peyton Walker<\/strong>, 26 years old of Oxford, Mississippi<\/strong>, was communicating with an underage victim. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walker solicited the juvenile to send inappropriate material through social media and cellular devices. Walker was arrested on December 4, 2024 and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center<\/strong> on the charge of Enticement of a Child to Produce a Visual Depiction of Sexual Conduct. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walker appeared before a Justice Court Judge and was set a $50,000.00 bond. This is an ongoing investigation, and no other details will be released at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
