In his first interview since Tuesday’s\u00a0runoff election, Chris McDaniel<\/strong> went on Fox News’ “Hannity” television program Thursday night and told host Sean Hannity<\/strong> his team has found “1,000 examples in one county alone” of people\u00a0who voted in both the Democrat Party Primary on June 3 and the Republican Runoff on June 24.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Under Mississippi law, it is illegal for people who vote in one party’s Primary to vote in another party’s Runoff election. <\/span><\/p>\n

Thad Cochran<\/strong> narrowly beat McDaniel in the Republican Runoff Tuesday night with 191,508 votes (50.9%) to McDaniel’s 184,815 votes (49.1%). That is a difference of only 6,693 votes. The runoff\u00a0<\/span>occurred<\/span>\u00a0because neither Cochran nor McDaniel received more than 50%\u00a0of the vote on June 3.<\/span><\/p>\n

McDaniel’s campaign has ten days to examine ballot boxes and voters logs. McDaniel said Thursday night that his team is still examining voter logs, comparing them to registers\u00a0from the June 3 Primary. <\/span><\/p>\n
