On October 25, 2024, the Lafayette County Sheriff<\/strong>\u2019s Criminal Investigation Unit<\/strong> received a report from a victim regarding missing funds from their bank account. The Lafayette County Criminal Investigation Unit began an investigation and discovered that $6,595.00 was stolen from the victim\u2019s bank account and used on a Green Dot Card<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The transaction history was requested and the suspects were identified while using the card from video surveillance footage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspects, Jacob Wayne Tomason<\/strong> 36 years old of Thaxton, Mississippi<\/strong>, and Tyler Chase Pardue<\/strong> 25 years old of Thaxton, were arrested on November 12, 2024 and charged with False Pretenses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomason is currently on Parole and is also being held by MDOC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both suspects appeared before a Justice Court Judge<\/strong> on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 and each received a bond of $10,000.00. Both suspects are being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
