Oxford, MS<\/strong> \u2013 The U.S. Marshals Service<\/strong> (USMS) in the Northern District of Mississippi<\/strong> and the Middle District of Tennessee<\/strong> coordinated the capture of the fugitive, Kevon Tucker<\/strong>, 32, of West Point, Mississippi<\/strong>. Tucker was wanted for being a felon in possession of a firearm, aggravated drug trafficking, possession of controlled substance (X2) and possession of marijuana out of Clay County<\/strong>, Mississippi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On September 25, 2024, warrants were issued for the arrest of Tucker out of Clay County by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics<\/strong>. The USMS Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force (GCRFTF) in Oxford <\/strong>adopted the case later that day for the purpose of fugitive apprehension. The GCRFTF developed information that Tucker had fled to the Murfreesboro, Tennessee<\/strong> area and requested the assistance of the USMS Middle Tennessee Joint Fugitive Task Force<\/strong> (MTTF) in locating and apprehending him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 5th<\/sup>, deputy marshals from the Middle Tennessee Joint Fugitive Task Force in Nashville <\/strong>located Tucker at an apartment in the City of Murfreesboro. During the arrest, Tucker attempted to flee law enforcement on foot but surrendered a short time later. A loaded firearm and assortment of narcotics were located on Tucker during a search incident to his arrest. Additional criminal charges are pending as this time. Tucker will be held at the Davidson County Downtown Detention Center<\/strong> as he awaits extradition back to Mississippi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The USMS of the Northern District of Mississippi appreciates the assistance of the Clay County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/strong>, the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics<\/strong>, and the USMS of the Middle District of Tennessee in locating and apprehending this violent fugitive.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
