Week of events to celebrate, recognize first-generation college students<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The University of Mississippi<\/strong> will kick off its fifth annual First-Generation College Student Week<\/strong> celebrations on Wednesday, November 6, 2024<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flagship First-Gen<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0has organized multiple events around the\u00a0National First-Generation College Student Day<\/strong> on November 8, 2024.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As Mississippi’s flagship university, we play an essential role in opening doors to higher education, and that includes supporting our many wonderful students who are the first in their families to attend college,” Chancellor Glenn Boyce<\/strong> said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As a first-generation college graduate, and I deeply admire the sense of community embodied by the First-Generation College Student Celebration events.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
