This year a new quarterly entertainment event was launched in Oxford<\/strong>, \u201cMelodies & Monologues<\/strong>.\u201d With Wayne Andrews<\/strong>\u2019 genius coming up with the title, the first two events at The Powerhouse<\/strong> were highly successful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In May, former Nashvillian and DJ Steve Vassallo<\/strong> conducted a tribute to the music of the 60\u2019s followed by former Senate Majority Leader, Trent Lott<\/strong>, taking the microphone to a packed house in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next show is slated for Wednesday evening October 2nd (6 pm at The Powerhouse) when Steve challenges the audience via 14 classics from the 70\u2019s. The evening will contain a few \u201cvocal\u201d surprises with some amazing prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI enjoy giving back to the community that I love and admire so much, said Steve. \u201cHaving been raised in Nashville, music is definitely part of my DNA.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe 60\u2019s show in May was a test to determine if the audience enjoyed the production. The positive response was overwhelming so with the support and blessing of The Powerhouse, we proceed forward with more exciting productions!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
