Visit Oxford<\/strong> has received the prestigious 2024 \u201cBest Marketing: Category 2\u201d Shining Example Award<\/strong> from Southeast Tourism Society<\/strong>. Visit Oxford was selected among nominations from several destinations across the Southeast and received the award at the STS Connections Conference<\/strong> in Auburn, Ala., on Wednesday, September 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award recognizes Visit Oxford\u2019s \u201cA Place to \u2026 Your Story\u201d campaign, which launched July 2023 to differentiate Oxford\u2019s offerings through engaging content<\/strong>. Capturing intent-driven audiences with short-form videos and tailored messaging, Visit Oxford leveraged creative storytelling and a strategic mix of digital channels. The campaign successfully showcased Oxford as a unique destination for leisure and business travelers, driving over 60 million impressions, an increase of 144% organic website engagement and a 26% increase in revenue, \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Oxford has so many more stories to tell as a destination, and I couldn’t be more proud of our team’s work in capturing the town’s distinct charm through this campaign,” said Kinney Ferris, Executive Director of Visit Oxford. “It\u2019s a true honor to be recognized for our marketing <\/strong>efforts as we showcase Oxford\u2019s unique culture, charm, and hospitality to even more visitors.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each year, a selection committee recognizes outstanding tourism leaders in the Southeast, celebrating their accomplishments in marketing, revenue growth, and contributions to the industry. The awards cover 13 categories, including the Chairman\u2019s Award and the Dorothy Hardman “Spirit of STS” Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
