{"id":140898,"date":"2024-07-08T18:49:51","date_gmt":"2024-07-08T23:49:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/?p=140898"},"modified":"2024-07-08T18:50:17","modified_gmt":"2024-07-08T23:50:17","slug":"water-valley-man-arrested-near-oxford-for-retaliation-against-a-public-servant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/water-valley-man-arrested-near-oxford-for-retaliation-against-a-public-servant\/","title":{"rendered":"Water Valley Man Arrested near Oxford for Retaliation Against a Public Servant"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On July 6, 2024, a Deputy with <strong>Lafayette County Sheriff&#8217;s Department<\/strong> was parked on a public easement on <strong>County Road 375<\/strong>, monitoring traffic on <strong>Highway 7<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While on the scene, the Deputy was approached by 29 year old <strong>Ryan Sellers<\/strong> of <strong>Water Valley<\/strong>. Ryan became irate and started to argue with the Deputy regarding his presence on the road. Later into the encounter, Ryan began to make threatening gestures and made threats to harm the Deputy physically. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ryan Sellers was arrested for Retaliation against a public servant or witness and transported to Lafayette County Detention Center.
