The marker will be located at GRAMMY Museum\u00ae Mississippi, 800 W Sunflower Rd in <strong>Cleveland<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the Mississippi Museum\u2019s marker acclaims, the state\u2019s profound contributions to the country music genre can be seen in the many GRAMMY\u00ae awards won by artists native to Mississippi, including <strong>Tammy Wynette<\/strong>, <strong>Marty Stuart<\/strong>, <strong>Faith Hill<\/strong>, <strong>Charley Pride<\/strong>, <strong>Bobbie Gentry<\/strong>, <strong>LeAnn Rimes<\/strong>, <strong>Carl Jackson<\/strong> and <strong>Paul Overstreet<\/strong>. The annual <strong>GRAMMY Awards<\/strong>\u00ae has been recognizing country music since its inception in 1958, and the genre\u2019s continuing legacy is celebrated at GRAMMY Museum\u00ae Mississippi, which opened its doors in 2016. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are honored to receive this marker on the historic Mississippi Country Music Trail,\u201d said <strong>Emily Havens<\/strong>, Executive Director of GRAMMY Museum\u00ae Mississippi. \u201cMississippi has made incredible contributions to country music, many of which have been celebrated by the GRAMMY Awards\u00ae and continue to be honored at our Museum. We are excited to have a permanent place on the Mississippi Country Music Trail to share the history of <strong>country music<\/strong> in this great state with future generations to come.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in 2010, the Mississippi Country Music Trail recognizes the state\u2019s contributions to country music.
