On April 11, 2024, the Oxford Police Department<\/strong> arrived at the 150th block of Highway 7<\/strong> for a report of property damage. A car\u2019s window was shattered and property stolen from the glove box. Upon investigation, Jaya Wiley<\/strong>, 23, of Oxford, Mississippi<\/strong>, was charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Crime and Colan Kemp<\/strong>, 36, of Water Valley<\/strong>, Mississippi, was charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Crime and Burglary.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wiley was taken before a Municipal Court<\/strong> judge for an initial bond hearing and was issued a $4,000 bond and a hold was placed by Drug Court<\/strong>. Kemp was taken before a Municipal Court judge for an initial bond hearing and was issued a $13,500 bond and a hold was placed by the Mississippi Department of Corrections<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
