Regents School of Oxford<\/strong>, a distinguished Classical\u00a0Christian institution in Oxford<\/strong>, began construction on its new upper school facility March 6, 2024. The event, which is phase one of a planned four-phase development venture, marked a pivotal\u00a0moment in the school’s history as it embarks on a transformative journey to enhance its\u00a0educational offerings.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new facility, spanning an impressive 45,000 square feet, will cater to students from 6th to\u00a012th grade, underscoring the school’s commitment to providing a nurturing environment for\u00a0academic and spiritual growth. Among its notable features is a spacious 600-seat gymnasium,\u00a0complete with locker and weight rooms, designed to facilitate athletic pursuits and physical\u00a0education.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I would like to thank Mrs. Jenny Stubblefield, the Board of Directors, our students, parents, and\u00a0 teachers for helping us reach this milestone in the life of our school,” said Dr. Matt Schroeder<\/strong>,\u00a0Head of School. “As we celebrate this occasion with the Regents community, we are thankful for\u00a0God’s provision for our school over the past 25 years. Though we will have another gym, more\u00a0classrooms, and a cafeteria, our mission has and will always stay the same: to disciple students to love, serve, and glorify the Lord.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the gymnasium, the facility will feature a dining hall boasting both indoor and\u00a0outdoor seating, fostering a sense of community, and providing students with a comfortable\u00a0space to enjoy meals together. The outdoor area will include a wonderful lawn, offering ample\u00a0space for outdoor activities and gatherings.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I want to thank our Board of Directors, administration, faculty, staff, Regents families, and\u00a0donors who have partnered with us along this journey and have been an instrumental part in\u00a0bringing this vision to fruition,” added Jenny Stubblefield<\/strong>, Board Chair. “Building this facility will\u00a0equip us to continue to provide educational excellence while maintaining our core mission. We\u00a0are grateful to be a part of the Oxford community and the Kingdom work He is doing right here on College Hill Road.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The March 6 event, attended by the Regents Board of Directors, administrators, and upper school\u00a0 student leadership, marks the beginning of an exciting chapter for Regents School of Oxford.
