Where are you from?<\/strong><\/span> I moved here from Atlanta but am originally from Orlando, Florida<\/span><\/p>\n

How did you get into cooking?<\/strong><\/span> Eating, my mother taught me a lot, the rest was up to Alton Brown.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the best thing about your job?<\/strong><\/span> The opportunity to lend my skills to a great kitchen and the likelihood of free bacon.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who is your favorite cook\/chef?<\/strong><\/span> David Chang, I was inspired by Mind of a Chef<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Cook_LawtonGafford\"<\/a>What kitchen tool\/utensil could you not live without?<\/strong><\/span> My Joan Chen Spiral Slicer and a charcoal grill.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is your favorite flavor combo?<\/strong><\/span> Any part of a pig, seasoned and smoked.<\/span><\/p>\n

Name three items in your fridge:<\/strong><\/span> Bacon, bacon, and bacon. Seriously, I have three different kinds of bacon in there right now.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where do you get your best recipe ideas?<\/strong><\/span> Dreams, man.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the best meal you\u2019ve ever eaten?<\/strong><\/span> The bhan mi sandwiches from Nha Trang in Orlando knock me out, there are 22 different ones and only so much room in my belly.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the weirdest meal you\u2019ve ever eaten?<\/strong><\/span> Beef tongue tacos, why?<\/span><\/p>\n

Personal specialties:<\/strong><\/span> Charcuterie\u2026 cured and smoked meats. The tradition is thousands of years old\u2026 refrigeration should have put an end to it, but, have you had bacon?<\/span><\/p>\n

Favorite midnight snack:<\/strong><\/span> Ramen<\/span><\/p>\n

Favorite kitchen music:<\/strong><\/span> Miles Davis<\/span><\/p>\n

Who would you most like to cook for and what would you prepare?<\/strong><\/span> Bob Dylan; ribs & sweet potatoes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where do you like to dine in \/ around Oxford?<\/strong><\/span> Delta Steak Company or B.T.C. Grocery<\/a> or the Crawdad Hole in Water Valley.<\/span><\/p>\n

Favorite restaurant in the world:<\/strong><\/span> Momofuku or any of David Chang\u2019s restaurants.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aspirations:<\/strong><\/span> To launch \u2018Trusty Brand Provisions,\u2019 specializing in cured and smoked meats.<\/span><\/p>\n
