In his\u00a0talk, he will advocate for a broader interpretation of the term \u201cartist\u201d and reimagine how the label\u00a0might inspire all to find more meaning in our lives. She envisions the application of these new technologies revolutionizing the\u00a0modern mental health care system, starting at the crucial early stages of life when children have the greatest potential for long-term success. Loftness is a PhD candidate in the Complex\u00a0Systems and Data Science program at University of Vermont and a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow. Smith<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Smith is a native of Greenwood, Mississippi, and graduate student at the University of\u00a0Mississippi matriculating in Journalism and New Media. Being a Black woman raised in the\u00a0 Mississippi Delta has given Jaylin a host of experiences that have molded her values of\u00a0 community, social activism, self-identity, and cultural awareness. These values have inspired\u00a0her TEDx talk regarding cultural competency and Black women\u2019s hair. She calls on\u00a0us to address infertility and birth traumas openly and intentionally. Kelley<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Diversity Education &amp; Strategic Initiatives Director at the University of\u00a0Mississippi, Kelley is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in Higher Education from the University of Mississippi and explores the relationship between student success and institutional\u00a0effectiveness for systematically excluded groups. Hamilton\u00a0has been creating improv curriculum and coaching since 2014. He performs improv with the\u00a0dupe troupe Kinross Kasunick, and is a member of the film collective Windbreaker. He believes\u00a0anyone can harness the power of improv to develop active listening skills and enhance\u00a0communication capabilities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-spacer aligncenter kt-block-spacer-136542_8e93b3-89\"><div class=\"kt-block-spacer kt-block-spacer-halign-center\"><hr class=\"kt-divider\"\/><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Organizing the event are <strong>Madalyn Dudley<\/strong>, chief of staff; <strong>Morgan McCann<\/strong>, assistant chief of\u00a0staff; <strong>Kate Hooper<\/strong>, TEDx-licensed organizer and faculty adviser, along with a team of twenty-two students and five consultants. No TEDxUniversityofMississippi event is complete without\u00a0entertainment.
