UPDATE (January 17, 2023) – THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO ROAD CONDITIONS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One of Oxford\u2019s favorite wintertime events, the Oxford Indoor Yard Sale<\/strong>, returns this Saturday, January 20, from 9 am to 1 pm at the Oxford Conference Center<\/strong>. Admission is $2 for adults; children aged 12 and under are admitted for free. The event is held rain or shine.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Oxford Conference Center is located at 102 Ed Perry Blvd<\/strong>, off of Sisk Ave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoppers can browse some 40 booths featuring a wide array of items including children and adult clothes, toys, books, electronics, antiques, home furniture and furnishings, small appliances, and other home goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lori Markle<\/strong>, who oversees the Yard Sale, says the event has become a community staple with all vendor booths completely booked. \u201cWe sold out all our booth space in a record three weeks.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications for a booth in next year\u2019s sale will be available this coming October and are on a first-come basis. No date has been set the for the January 2025 sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oxford Conference Center Director, Micah Quinn<\/strong>, notes the event draws people from all over north Mississippi.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe expect a large turn out from not only Lafayette County but also our surrounding counties,\u201d she reveals. \u201cThis event has become such a favorite, people are willing to travel an hour or so.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Long time vendor Dee Jones<\/strong> loves participating in the annual sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy daughter and I have been participating in the Oxford Indoor Yard Sale for several years now,\u201d Jones notes. \u201cWe love the convenience: No advertising, putting up tables, or having to worry about the weather. Just set up and sell. We love the OCC staff and look forward to this every year.\u201d  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Best of all, nothing gets thrown away.  Any unsold items can be donated to Holding Hands Resale<\/strong>, a thrift and consignment store on 1433 N Lamar Blvd<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
