I grew up at the Hoka and remember my parents listening to Thacker from Off Square Books. My mother and brother live in Oxford and I have three children of my own and can\u2019t wait to show them Oxford.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">After a stint working in the arts in <strong>San Francisco<\/strong>, Wymer was most recently the assistant director of the <strong>Walter Anderson Museum of Art<\/strong> in Ocean Springs. She brings extensive development and fundraising skills to her new job.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">\u201cAmanda has already made a a significant impact on the show,\u201d notes Thacker Board President <strong>Mary Margaret Andrews<\/strong>. \u201cShe\u2019s updated our Spotify, Soundcloud, and Instagram pages and put together our fall fundraising campaign. We\u2019re very excited to have her on board.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Guests for the September 7 season premiere will include debut novelist <strong>Irina Zhorov<\/strong> as well as local alt-rockers, <strong>Bark<\/strong>, and Delta songwriter <strong>Will Griffith<\/strong>, performing as <strong>The Great Dying<\/strong>. The show is hosted by <strong>Jim Dees<\/strong> and the <strong>Yalobushwhacker Big Band<\/strong> featuring the Thacker Horns and guest vocalist, <strong>Mary Frances Massey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">&nbsp;Admission is free. Doors are at 5:30 pm with bar service available. The show will be broadcast live on WUMS, 92.1 FM (online at <a href=\"http:\/\/myrebelradio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">http:\/\/myrebelradio.com\/<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The show can also be heard on public and community radio stations in <strong>Memphis<\/strong>, <strong>Chattanooga<\/strong>, and <strong>Knoxville<\/strong>, <strong>Tennessee<\/strong>, as well as on the stations of <strong>Mississippi Public Broadcasting<\/strong> and <strong>Alabama Public Radio<\/strong>.
