About the Books<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Alison Thompson and Lucas Thompson<\/strong> are the mother-son duo behind Super Lucas<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. Alison was inspired to write this book when Lucas was just a year old. Everyone who knows Lucas, knows he is a super kid. Alison and Lucas hope that every child is inspired to use their own super powers to make the world a better place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early hours of the morning, when Aria was an infant, Alison would nurse and recite Phenomenal Woman<\/em> by Dr. Maya Angelou<\/strong> to Aria. As Aria grew, she would mumble in between nursing and the cadence in her tone would be that of Phenomenal Woman<\/em>. Alison was finishing up her first children’s book, Super Lucas<\/em><\/a> with her son, Lucas, when she was led to write one with her daughter. Twos with Tootie<\/em><\/strong><\/a> is a nod to the rhythmic style of poetry and a celebration of all things two for the beloved, Tootie; a nickname given to Aria by her mother, Alison.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
