I can&#8217;t tell you how excited I am for them.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year&#8217;s recipients are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Manuel Campbell<\/strong>, a biochemistry major from Jackson\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Edith Marie Green<\/strong>, an international studies major from Oxford\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mikayla Jordan<\/strong>, an education major from Hattiesburg\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Alyssa Langlois<\/strong>, an international studies major from New Orleans\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rabria Moore<\/strong>, a journalism and political science major from Durant\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sydney Rester<\/strong>, a biomedical engineering major from Oxford\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Emily Wang<\/strong>, an international studies major from Randolph, New Jersey\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Savannah Whittemore<\/strong>, a law school student from Grenada\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Moore received a Fulbright ETA award to teach in <strong>Zambia<\/strong>. This award will help her better understand different education models in other countries, one of her areas of interest, Moore said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;My goal is to get a sense of how other education systems work, what their policies are, and what their failures are,&#8221; she said. &#8220;I want to learn about other systems so we can make our education system better.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three students \u2013 Green, Jordan, and Rester \u2013 received Fulbright ETA awards to teach English in <strong>Germany<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whittemore, who spent last summer interning in Germany as the university&#8217;s\u00a0<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/u12097671.ct.sendgrid.net\/ls\/click?upn=9rudYHeevExQpJ5A1h-2BA7WdM5AnHhiCFnrTpmdbqleY6gLzMlwRsaPneDDMIZfF2pA5npU-2FCbBsh1JVDOLnoDR1DhqYBST3uzGc9ApJhvN70gmVJAGaFXMAsOEp8blVowXOv_qpsnPIXERHFtyQtkeuXoKFQCzNknNFEqgTJ27sMRMrKVf9Nc6BkVzPZVmKRC-2BlZnfwo9ct7Rd2oF9RmGl1crMLOooMFoItvjIsCH2rqyxvK0SjhI2W72AFDfWUxeHGn0IiW5EG6hE-2BesTxEOIHSW2DYK2951D4azn909e4O68dsJmY-2FAzjk255MOaJ6z4bU8zuj4G2OlWc4CMqGQQB1N-2FkBlfMpfR4oNGg7ZdsI3mM-2BEK7TehEv7aNVmVvIJYb6ExJytr4hGTc-2ByUUbbF6fRDFG9oSQZQMnf72p-2FjPEXDMfP-2FF0gssjWvp-2FajOO5AmcDlMOrXnZNiahs3lLlUHVTxn4nZKTS-2FmBfI8FtZjBNJOXLJkI2p3-2FQU5dFCGMhq5WCoZ4PBGptlpUbXFIUwwUw5yf3YBsDJJyGgMkUFaNGXP746i1qOk0Qmkd-2BsiLiqTGjEctcyTmr56GtikxIRiMGIPbwagiS2hQBJ7y2jHK6GSNnPK5wMksnfBxCyLbz4yAmKHOmoK2dGdlwb6OsnCqof3p1dxBNDKkpk-2BwJUgG8jdxt74A1ElWxU7MkEFrEc3DBl33d3BE8RYoYlSizefZBXg-3D-3D\" target=\"_blank\">first student accepted into the German American Exchange program<\/a>, will return to Germany to continue her research on the history of the First Amendment, hate speech, and genocide as a part of her Fulbright Research Award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Campbell, who also has a minor in Korean, will be traveling to South Korea on a Fulbright ETA award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I was at work when I found out, and I jumped out of my chair and started running around and telling all the deans and everyone,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I don&#8217;t think I sat down for 30 minutes.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Langlois received a Fulbright ETA award to teach in <strong>Switzerland<\/strong>. Le, a freshman computer science major from Starkville, will spend one month this summer studying at the University of Strathclyde in <strong>Glasgow, Scotland<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Along with promoting cross-cultural exchange, these awards put the university well on its way to becoming a top Fulbright Award-producing institution, Ibrahim said.
