Highly anticipated music festival returns June 2 & 3, 2023 with a great lineup, local food & drinks, and a new philanthropic mission<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Cathead Distillery<\/strong>, Mississippi<\/strong>\u2019s first and oldest legal distillery, is set to bring back the popular annual music festival, Cathead Jam<\/strong>, on Friday, June 2 & Saturday, June 3, 2023<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a three-year hiatus caused by the pandemic, the Jackson<\/strong>-based distillery with a mission to \u201cSupport Live Music\u201d will host a weekend filled with musical performances, local food & drinks, games, and good times for the Jackson community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two-day festival, which welcomed over 5,000 attendees and hosted bands like The Revivalists, Umphrey’s McGee,<\/strong> and Greensky Bluegrass<\/strong> in 2019, has plans to return even bigger and better this summer with more artists, dialed in food offerings from local chefs, craft brews from Jackson\u2019s brewery, Fertile Ground Beer Co.<\/strong>, and of course, craft cocktails made with Cathead Distillery\u2019s award-winning line of small batch spirits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support Live Music<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to partnering with locally owned music & event management company Ardenland <\/strong>for the fifth consecutive year, Cathead Jam is now owned by non-profit Dreamnote Foundation<\/strong>, which was formed in 2022 by Cathead Distillery Co-Founders Richard Patrick and Austin Evans<\/strong> alongside friends and partners Arden Barnett<\/strong> and Matthew McLaughlin<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All proceeds from Cathead Jam go to Dreamnote, a 501(c)3 committed to improving access to music throughout Mississippi in underserved communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt\u2019s exciting that Cathead Jam is back and that this year there\u2019s a mission behind it. The Cathead team has created a music festival for our capital city, and now they\u2019ve decided to give all proceeds to an important cause,\u201d said Dreamnote Board Member Lauren Engle<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDream Note was founded by four music lovers and business leaders committed to Mississippi, and this foundation is going to ensure more kids in Mississippi have access to music programs. That\u2019s something everyone can get behind.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will be held at Cathead Distillery <\/strong>at 422 S. Farish Street <\/strong>in Jackson, Mississippi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
