GRAMMY\u00ae<\/sup>-N<\/strong>ominated singer\/songwriter to appear for a special conversation and performance in the Sanders Soundstage<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Mississippi <\/strong>native singer\/songwriter, instrumentalist and\u00a0GRAMMY-nominated Jimbo Mathus <\/strong>will visit GRAMMY Museum\u00ae <\/sup>Mississippi<\/a> <\/strong>on Thursday, March 30<\/strong>, as\u00a0the featured guest for the next installment of the Museum\u2019s Words & Music: A Songwriter Series<\/strong>. The event\u00a0will feature an evening of music and conversation with Mathus, who has worked with acts such as the Squirrel Nut Zippers<\/strong>, North\u00a0Mississippi Allstars<\/strong>, Jim Dickinson<\/strong>, and Buddy Guy<\/strong>, among many others.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are so excited to welcome the one-of-a-kind Jimbo Mathus into our Museum for a special evening of\u00a0 music and performance,\u201d said Emily Havens<\/strong>, executive director of GRAMMY Museum Mississippi. “Jimbo is\u00a0 a wonderful mix of folk, blues, and gospel with a passion for music that is contagious. It is going to be an\u00a0 incredible night in our Soundstage with songs and stories.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Words & Music: Jimbo Mathus will take place on March 30 at 7 pm in the Sanders Soundstage. Tickets are $15 for GRAMMY Museum Mississippi Members and $20 for non-members. Additional support for this\u00a0 program is provided by Visit Cleveland<\/a><\/strong>. Tickets are currently on sale at grammymuseumms.org<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mathus is setting up shop as Artist in Residence this March through April at the Shared Experiences\u00a0 headquarters in downtown Clarksdale, Mississippi. From March 18 through April 23, Mathus will be creating a\u00a0marionette theatre and film entitled The Secret World of Charlie Patton<\/em><\/strong>.
