On January 24, 2023, Investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/strong> received a report regarding Child Sexual Abuse Material<\/strong> (CSAM) found on an email account. The case was assigned to an Internet Crimes Against Children<\/strong> (ICAC) Investigator with the Lafayette County Sheriff\u2019s Department<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An investigation began and it was determined that the CSAM material was located at an address in Yalobusha County<\/strong>. Lafayette County Sheriff\u2019s Office then worked in conjunction with the Yalobusha County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 15, 2023, a search warrant was issued for the address in Yalobusha County, in the area of Highway 315<\/strong>. Investigators searched the residence and seized numerous computers and media storage devices. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Upon further investigation, Kristopher Allen Myers<\/strong> (32 years old male of Yalobusha County) was arrested for three counts of possession of child pornography and one count of tampering with physical evidence. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Myers was taken to the Yalobusha County Jail and was formally charged. Myers was issued a $45,000.00 bond by a Yalobusha County Justice Court Judge<\/strong> and is currently in custody at the jail. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Lafayette County Sheriff\u2019s Office would like to thank the Yalobusha County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Water Valley Police Department<\/strong>, and Lafayette County Metro Narcotics<\/strong> for their assistance in this lengthy investigation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
