The Avent <\/strong>family of Oxford<\/strong> has impacted\u00a0the town’s history since the late 1830s. Large land owners and successful businesses are their legacies. And then there was their cotton gin and warehouse.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Oxford aura was defined by The Hoka<\/strong> theater and cafe, to be housed on in the old cotton warehouse on the left here, and The Gin<\/strong> restaurant and bar lived in the old gin building straight ahead. Oxford times that bring many smiles and fond\u00a0memories of late-night Hoka cheesecake and cinnamon coffee, after dancing on the tables at The Gin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
