One of Oxford\u2019s favorite wintertime events, the Oxford Indoor Yard Sale<\/strong>, returns Saturday, January 21, from 9 am to 1 pm at the Oxford Conference Center<\/strong>. Admission is $2 for adults; children age 12 and under are admitted for free. The event is held rain or shine. The Oxford Conference Center (OCC) is located at 102 Ed Perry Boulrvard, off of Sisk Avenue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoppers can browse some 40 booths featuring a wide array of items including children and adult clothes, toys, books, electronics, home furniture and furnishings, small appliances, and other home goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OCC Yard Sale Manager, Lori Markle<\/strong> says the event has become a community staple with all vendor booths completely booked. \u201cWe will get inquiries about next year as soon as this year\u2019s sale ends,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications for a booth in next year\u2019s sale will be available this coming October and are on a first-come basis. No date has been set for the January 2024 sale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OCC Director, Micah Quinn<\/strong>, notes the event appears to have rebounded from the Covid years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe expect one of our biggest crowds this year,\u201d Quinn declared. \u201cWe\u2019ve had numerous calls from Oxford and the surrounding counties.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Molly Meisenheimer<\/strong>, a booth vendor for the sale, said there are many reasons she enjoys the annual event.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI believe I have been a part of this sale every year except one!\u201d she enthused. \u201cIt makes me collect things at home during the year and be ready each January. I enjoy coming home with a little cash and no stuff!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s the best part for vendors and patrons alike: Nothing gets thrown out. Any unsold items can be donated to Holding Hands Resale<\/strong>, a thrift and consignment store on 1433 North Lamar Boulevard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
