DuWayne Burnside will play at 2 pm on Saturday, October 8, 2022<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Guitarist, singer, and songwriter DuWayne Burnside<\/strong> is one of fourteen children born to legendary North Mississippi<\/strong> musician R.L. Burnside<\/strong> and his wife, Alice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DuWayne has been a frequent performer with the North Mississippi Allstars<\/strong> since the early 1990s, when that group, fronted by Luther<\/strong> & Cody Dickinson<\/strong>, formed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The young Burnside learned his first few guitar licks and chords from his father, but proved a quick study and soon began playing with local club owner Junior Kimbrough<\/strong> & The Soul Blues Boys<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DuWayne has recorded for many record labels and he continues to play and tour, keeping the North Mississippi Hill Country Blues flourishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
