The University of Mississippi<\/strong> School\u00a0of\u00a0Business\u00a0Administration<\/strong> is preparing to host its 21st annual Banking\u00a0and\u00a0Finance\u00a0Symposium<\/strong>, which features speakers and panel discussions to\u00a0educate students,\u00a0alumni\u00a0and\u00a0finance\u00a0professionals\u00a0on\u00a0topics\u00a0that\u00a0affect\u00a0the\u00a0financial\u00a0industry.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event is set for October 14 at the Oxford Conference Center<\/strong>. Registration is $95 and can be completed by\u00a0clicking here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Banking and Finance Symposium has been an outstanding example of industry and academics coming together to create a value-adding event for professionals and students alike,” said Ken Cyree<\/strong>, dean of the business school.\u00a0“The symposium has grown tremendously over the years with the last few years having 200-plus attendees.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The hallmark of the program has been the outstanding speakers, including government officials and policymakers, bank CEOs, industry experts, and academics.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symposium opens with the second annual Women in Finance<\/strong> breakfast, set for 8 am October 16. The breakfast is free, but attendees\u00a0must RSVP<\/a>. Michelle King<\/strong>, president of Bank Director<\/strong> and FinXTech<\/strong>, is the speaker for the breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Symposium sessions begin at 10 am. The keynote speakers for this year’s event are Brad Bolton<\/strong>, chairman of the Independent Community Bankers Association; Marty Mosby, director of bank equity and Strategy for Stifel<\/strong>; and Caitlin Long<\/strong>, CEO and founder of Custodia Bank<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symposium will be preceded October 13 by the Ole Miss Banking\/Finance Golf Tournament<\/strong> at the Ole Miss Golf Course<\/strong>. The format is a four-man scramble starting at noon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration for the tournament is $150 per player, $600 per team, which includes lunch, golf calls and prizes. Check-in and lunch begin at 10:30 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
