Theatre Oxford<\/strong> opens its season with Another Side of Tennessee Williams<\/strong><\/em>\u2014a tribute to one of Mississippi<\/strong>\u2019s greatest writers. Come enjoy Williams\u2019 work as he strays from his better known Southern Gothic style to share a lighter sense of humor and sardonic wit. The show runs Thursday October 6 through Saturday October 8<\/strong> at the Powerhouse in Oxford. Curtain is at 7:30 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI love that these plays are not typical of Tennessee Williams, and yet they are very Tennessee Williams,\u201d said director Jack Barbera<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The production features four of Williams\u2019 short plays, three fabulous directors, and twelve amazing local actors: George Kehoe<\/strong>, Courtney Dane Mize<\/strong>, Jonathan Orange<\/strong>, Rebecca Jernigan<\/strong>, Connor King<\/strong>, Mike Lilly<\/strong>, Michelle Bright<\/strong>, Jules Mikell<\/strong>, Aaron Barrow<\/strong>, Elliot Bexley<\/strong>, Naomi Levin<\/strong>, and Ainsley Counce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re fortunate to have a seasoned Off Broadway director involved,\u201d Kate Hooper<\/strong>, president of Theatre Oxford said. \u201cKaren Kohlhaas is not only a great acting coach and director, she\u2019s a Tennessee Williams expert.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

All shows are dedicated to the late Colby Kullman<\/strong>. Receptions held in honor of Colby before the show each night from 6:30-7:15 pm. Show tickets required.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
