{"id":122834,"date":"2022-09-19T17:55:40","date_gmt":"2022-09-19T22:55:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/?p=122834"},"modified":"2022-09-19T17:55:43","modified_gmt":"2022-09-19T22:55:43","slug":"pope-mississippi-man-arrested-for-abusive-calls-to-oxford-polices-emergency-telephone-service","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/pope-mississippi-man-arrested-for-abusive-calls-to-oxford-polices-emergency-telephone-service\/","title":{"rendered":"Pope, Mississippi Man Arrested for Abusive Calls to Oxford Police&#8217;s Emergency Telephone Service"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Over the past couple of months, the <strong>Oxford Police Department<\/strong> has been responding to calls claiming to have people critically injured or in dangerous situations that turned out to be false reports. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After investigation, <strong>Thomas Lee Jr.<\/strong>, 23, of <strong>Pope, Mississippi<\/strong>, was arrested and charged with multiple counts\u00a0of Abusive Call to Emergency Telephone Service. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lee was taken before a <strong>Lafayette County Justice Court<\/strong> judge for his initial bond hearing and issued a \u00a0$10,000 bond.
