Rebel Left Guard Paved Way for 316 Rushing Yards in Win at Georgia Tech<\/em><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After a historic rushing performance set forth by the Ole Miss<\/strong> football team Saturday in a 42-0 win at Georgia Tech<\/strong>, Nick Broeker<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0earned Offensive Lineman of the Week<\/strong> honors from the Southeastern Conference<\/strong>.

This marks Broeker’s third SEC weekly honor, having been named Offensive Lineman of the Week once each in 2020 and 2021. Broeker is the first Rebel <\/strong>to earn a weekly honor from the league office so far this season.

The Preseason All-America<\/strong> and All-SEC<\/strong> honoree paved the way for a Rebel rushing attack that amassed 316 yards on the ground in the blowout road win in Atlanta<\/strong>. Behind Broeker and the rest of the Rebel O-line, running backs\u00a0Zach Evans<\/a><\/dfn>,\u00a0Quinshon Judkins<\/a><\/dfn><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Ulysses Bentley IV<\/strong><\/a><\/dfn>\u00a0combined to score all six of Ole Miss’ touchdowns in the victory.

The Rebels recorded their most rushing yards against a non-SEC Power-5 opponent since at least 1967. It was also the first time since October 27, 1979, that three Ole Miss rushers tallied multiple scores. It was the largest margin of victory for a Rebel team against a non-SEC Power-5 opponent since 1950.

Broeker, an Outland <\/strong>and Lombardi Award Watch Lister<\/strong>, graded out at 96 percent in the Rebel triumph. He totaled six knockdowns against the Yellow Jackets<\/strong> with zero pressures and zero sacks allowed.

Broeker and the Rebels return to Vaught-Hemingway Stadium<\/strong> to host Tulsa <\/strong>at 3 pm CT Saturday on SEC Network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
