On June 27, 2022, officers with the Oxford Police Department<\/strong> took a report from a business in the 2500 block of West Jackson Avenue<\/strong> for felony shoplifting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspects were already gone from the scene but they were quickly identified as Brandon Miller<\/strong> (42 of Clarksdale, Mississippi<\/strong>) and Stacy Murphree<\/strong> (44 of Clarksdale, Mississippi). Warrants for both were issued at that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 29, 2022, OPD officers took a commercial burglary report from the same business in the 2500 block of West Jackson Avenue. During this investigation, detectives identified the suspect as same person from the June 27th<\/sup>\u00a0felony shoplifting, Brandon Miller. With the help of the West Helena Police Department<\/strong> we were able to arrest both suspects and have then transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Murphree was charged with felony shoplifting and issued a $2,000 bond by a Justice Court Judge<\/strong>. Miller was charged with felony shoplifting, commercial burglary, and possession of burglary tools. He was issued a $20,000 bond by a Justice Court Judge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
