About the Author<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

CJ Hauser<\/strong> teaches creative writing at Colgate University. She is the author of two novels, Family of Origin<\/em> and The From-Aways.<\/em> In 2019 she published \u201cThe Crane Wife\u201d in The Paris Review,<\/em> which reached more than a million readers all over the world. This is her first work of nonfiction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snowden Wright<\/strong> is the author of the novels American Pop and Play Pretty Blues. He has written for The Atlantic, Salon, Esquire, and the New York Daily News, among other publications.
