{"id":118692,"date":"2022-03-29T15:38:38","date_gmt":"2022-03-29T20:38:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/?p=118692"},"modified":"2022-03-29T15:38:44","modified_gmt":"2022-03-29T20:38:44","slug":"felon-wanted-by-the-mississippi-department-of-corrections-located-in-oxford","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/felon-wanted-by-the-mississippi-department-of-corrections-located-in-oxford\/","title":{"rendered":"Felon Wanted by the Mississippi Department of Corrections Located in Oxford"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On March 18, 2022, the <strong>Oxford Police Department<\/strong> took a walk-in report during which the department was notified of an individual wanted by the <strong>Mississippi Department of Corrections<\/strong>, later identified as <strong>John Hopper<\/strong>, 56, of <strong>Walnut, Mississippi<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Officers identified Hopper and his vehicle and\u00a0conducted a traffic stop on him. Hopper was subsequently arrested for his active warrant and\u00a0Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hopper was taken before a <strong>Lafayette County Justice Court<\/strong> judge for his initial bond hearing and was \u00a0issued a $10,000 bond.
