\"Column<\/a>Where are you from originally?<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Born in Philly, but when I was a year old, we moved out to Hemingway, SC<\/span><\/p>\n

How did you get into cooking?<\/strong><\/span> I grew up in the business and took over from my father officially in 2011, but I\u2019ve been working the pits since I could walk. <\/span><\/p>\n

What\u2019s the best thing about your job?<\/strong><\/span> I get to travel, cook, and meet people from across the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"OLYMPUS<\/a>Who is your favorite cook\/chef?<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 I can\u2019t choose just one, but my Fatback Collective teammates collectively make my favorite cook\/chef. <\/span><\/p>\n

What kitchen tool\/utensil could you not live without?<\/strong><\/span> I\u2019m not really in the kitchen, but tongs, I hold everything with tongs. <\/span><\/p>\n

What is your favorite flavor combo?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span> Sweet and spicy<\/span><\/p>\n

Name three items in your fridge:<\/strong><\/span> Cranberry juice, cheese of some kind, Kool-Aid\u2014I am a single man after all<\/span><\/p>\n

Where do you get your best recipe ideas?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span> The recipes I use at Scott\u2019s have been passed down from generations before me, inspiring.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the best meal you\u2019ve ever eaten?<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Usually the last meal I had is the best one I\u2019ve ever eaten\u2014with few exceptions\u2014and in this case, it was at Gunshow in Atlanta<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the weirdest meal you\u2019ve ever eaten?<\/strong><\/span> Octopus at City House in Nashville; it was weird, but I loved it. <\/span><\/p>\n

Favorite midnight snack:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Dark chocolate with almonds\u2014usually Dove<\/span><\/p>\n

Favorite cooking music:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span> R&B, old school, Hip-Hop<\/span><\/p>\n

Who would you most like to cook for and what would you prepare?<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 Everybody, and my barbecue. Because barbecue is for everyone. I\u2019d love to cook for anyone and everyone that I meet and encounter so that they can taste the food that I was lucky to grow up with.<\/span><\/p>\n

Favorite restaurant in the world:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 My mama\u2019s kitchen<\/span><\/p>\n
