{"id":117067,"date":"2022-01-26T22:45:00","date_gmt":"2022-01-27T04:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/?p=117067"},"modified":"2022-01-25T21:04:28","modified_gmt":"2022-01-26T03:04:28","slug":"american-music-masters-bush-marshall-meyer-meyer-to-perform-at-the-ford-center-friday-january-28","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelocalvoice.net\/oxford\/american-music-masters-bush-marshall-meyer-meyer-to-perform-at-the-ford-center-friday-january-28\/","title":{"rendered":"American Music Masters Bush\/Marshall\/Meyer\/Meyer to perform at the Ford Center Friday, January 28"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Five-time Grammy award-winner <strong>Edgar Meyer<\/strong> is set to perform at the <strong>Ford Center<\/strong> with bluegrass virtuosos <strong>Sam Bush<\/strong> and <strong>Mike Marshall<\/strong> and Meyer&#8217;s son, violinist <strong>George Meyer<\/strong> on <strong>Friday, January 28<\/strong> at 7:30 pm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The performance will include new music written especially for this tour as well as works from the genre bending album <em><strong>Short Trip Home<\/strong><\/em> recorded by Edgar Meyer, Sam Bush, and Mike Marshall in 1999 with violinist, <strong>Joshua Bell<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets for Bush\/Marshall\/Meyer\/Meyer are from $25\u2013$45 for various seating and available by visiting the <strong>University Box Office<\/strong> in the Ford Center, at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fordcenter.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.fordcenter.org<\/a> or by calling 662-915-7411.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to the performance, a photography exhibition by New York photographer and <strong>University of Mississippi<\/strong> alum, <strong>Jenny Anderson<\/strong>, will have its opening starting at 6:30 pm. The exhibition titled <em><strong>The In Between: Intimate &amp; Candid Moments of Broadway&#8217;s Stars<\/strong> <\/em>features backstage photos with some of Broadway\u2019s biggest stars including <strong>Bernadette Peters<\/strong>, <strong>Lin-Manuel Miranda<\/strong>, and <strong>Sutton Foster<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition will be open from January 28 through the end of the spring semester.
