Masks should be worn indoors in public places to reduce the risk of transmission. As always, be tested if you feel sick, talk to a doctor about appropriate treatment and remain at home if you test positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Holiday gatherings and indoor activities can be major contributors of COVID-19 transmission. Please keep these gatherings few and small.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vaccination remains the most effective way to prevent severe illness, hospitalization and death from COVID-19. Everyone aged 5 and older should be fully vaccinated, and those 18 and over should receive a booster at the appropriate time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Vaccinations<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>More than\u00a0<strong><strong><strong><strong><strong><strong>1,449,932<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong> people have now been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Mississippi. Vaccination benefits you even if you have already had COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Most COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations and deaths are now among unvaccinated
