On December 11, 2021, the Oxford Police Department<\/strong> began receiving reports of vehicle burglaries throughout multiple housing complexes. During the preliminary investigation, officers and\u00a0investigators were able to identify two persons of interest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On December 12, 2021, officers located the \u00a0suspect vehicle and conducted a traffic stop for a traffic violation. The driver identified as Darick Moody<\/strong>, 18, of Oxford<\/strong>, Mississippi <\/strong>was transported to the Criminal Investigation Division<\/strong> building for questioning and subsequently charged with 12 counts of auto burglary. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On December 13, 2021, investigators obtained a search warrant for a residence in Panola County<\/strong> along with an arrest warrant for Shannon Bramlett<\/strong>, 33, of Sardis<\/strong>, Mississippi. The search warrant was executed \u00a0with the assistance of the Panola County Sheriff’s Office<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bramlett was located inside the residence\u00a0and taken into custody without incident then transported back to the Lafayette County Detention\u00a0Center<\/strong> where he was officially charged with 12 counts of auto burglary and 1 count of possession of a \u00a0weapon by a convicted felon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0Moody and Bramlett were both taken before a Lafayette County Justice Court Judge an each received \u00a0a bond of $50,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
