Mr. John Michael \u201cMike\u201d McCauley<\/strong>, 58, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Trinity Mission Health and Hospice<\/strong> of Holly Springs, Mississippi<\/strong>.\u00a0 Oxford-University United Methodist Church<\/strong> held a memorial service Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Eddie Rester<\/strong> and Rev. Chris McAlilly<\/strong> officiating.\u00a0Visitation was held at the church prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.\u00a0There was a graveside service following the service at 3:00 pm at Oxford Memorial Cemetery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mike was born in Kosciusko<\/strong>, Mississippi and raised in Oxford <\/strong>where he graduated from Oxford High School<\/strong> and later the University of Mississippi<\/strong>.\u00a0 While attending Ole Miss<\/strong>, he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity<\/strong>.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mike worked as an insurance agent at Nationwide <\/strong>and was a well known and respected member of the LOU<\/strong> community.\u00a0 A devout fan the Rebels<\/strong>, he was a member of the Ole Miss Quarterback Club<\/strong>.\u00a0 He had a love of jazz music, telling jokes, and being surrounded by those he loved.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mike was a long-standing member of Oxford-University United Methodist Church, and held a strong faith in the Lord.\u00a0 His commitment to serving others was seen through his marked acts of generosity which impacted many people throughout the community, leaving behind a legacy of the true spirit of kindness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. McCauley is survived by his girlfriend, Missy Wildmon<\/strong> of Oxford, MS; one sister; and several cousins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. McCauley was preceded in death by his parents, John McCauley<\/strong> and Shirley Godbold McCauley<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
