On October 22, 2021, at approximately 11:38 pm, the Oxford Police Department<\/strong> began receiving reports of gunshots being fired in the 100 block of Shadow Creek Drive<\/strong> located in The\u00a0Greens<\/strong> apartment complex. While officers were en route, they observed a vehicle leaving the area and\u00a0conducted a traffic stop. Investigators arrived on scene and began interviewing the occupants while\u00a0additional units began searching for evidence. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officers, along with members of the Lafayette County Metro Narcotics Unit<\/strong>, located a residence in the 100 block of Shadow Creek and determined the occupants of the vehicle, stopped by officers,\u00a0were present prior to the shooting. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once the investigation was complete, the following arrests were made:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keontae Brannon<\/strong>, 19, of Taylor<\/strong>, for Aggravated Assault \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ai\u2019Rian Stokes<\/strong>, 20, of Oxford<\/strong>, for Aggravated Assault \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daezhaun Johnson<\/strong>, 21, of Memphis<\/strong>, for Aggravated Assault and Possession of Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 Narcotics with Intent to Sell \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kamron Anderson<\/strong>, 18, of Tupelo<\/strong>, for Possession of Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 Narcotics with Intent\u00a0to Sell.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All individuals were taken before a Lafayette County Justice Court<\/strong> judge for their initial appearance \u00a0so bonds could be set. Brannon received a $50,000 bond, but due to Brannon being out on recent felony charges, his previous bond was revoked by the court. Stokes was issued a $50,000 bond. Johnson was issued a $75,000 bond. Anderson was issued a $20,000 bond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
