On October 12, 2021, at approximately 8:15 pm, officers with the Oxford Police Department<\/strong>\u00a0responded to multiple reports of gunshots in the 200 block of Pegues Road<\/strong> behind Kroger Grocery<\/strong>. The initial investigation\u00a0revealed that approximately 25 shots were fired with one person receiving a non-life-threatening \u00a0injury. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this time, we have 3 individuals in custody, identified as Deshawn Lewis<\/strong>, 26, of Oxford<\/strong>, Mississippi<\/strong>, Aaron \u00a0Pomerlee<\/strong>, 25, of Oxford, and Shawntez Draper<\/strong>, 30, of Oxford. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lewis was charged with Possession of\u00a0a Weapon by a Convicted Felon. Pomerlee was charged with Accessory After the Fact. Draper was\u00a0charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We currently have warrants issued for De\u2019Mond Campbell<\/strong> for three counts of Aggravated Assault and\u00a0Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon and Deniero Buchanan<\/strong> for four counts of Aggravated\u00a0Assault. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Campbell and Buchanan is urged to contact \u00a0the Oxford Police Department 662-232-2400<\/strong> or Lafayette County Crime Stoppers<\/strong> at 662-234-8477<\/strong>. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bonds will be set at a later date. This is still an ongoing investigation, other details may be added later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
