Horace L. “Dell” Clark, Jr.<\/a><\/strong> died Thursday, September 16, 2021, at his home in Tunica<\/strong>, Mississippi<\/strong>. He was 79.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A native of Biloxi<\/strong>, he had made his home in the Port Gibson\/Vicksburg<\/strong> area for most of his life. He was a graduate of Port Gibson High School<\/strong> and later taught there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the past 20 years he had been making his home in Tunica where he was a member of the Tunica First Baptist Church<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dell was an avid vinyl record collector and was known as having the largest collection of records in the state of Mississippi. Dell hosted many records sales in Oxford <\/strong>over the years at the “Indoor Garage Sale”<\/a> at the Oxford Conference Center<\/strong>. After having several successful sales at Yalobusha Brewing Company<\/a> in Water Valley, Dell opened and operated his own record store, Valley Vinyl<\/strong> <\/a>for a few years. Clark also hosted “Tunicapalooza<\/strong>,” a massive record sale in his hometown of Tunica<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you love vinyl records or ever bought one from Dell, be sure to spin a few in his honor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Survivors include his wife, Sumie K. Clark<\/strong>; his son, Jack Reismiller<\/strong>; his sister, Jane Clark<\/strong>; his niece, Cindy Jackson<\/strong>, and 4 grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funeral services were Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 1 pm in the chapel of Glenwood Funeral Home<\/strong> in Port Gibson<\/strong> with Revs. Danny Smith<\/strong> and Robert Lanair<\/strong> officiating. Interment was in the Wintergreen Cemetery<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
