The Ballard Journeay Show<\/a><\/strong> is an upcoming duo-fronted country band based out of the Jackson, Mississippi<\/strong> area; influenced by the sounds of the Red Dirt Texas<\/strong> music scene, the blues of the Mississippi Delta<\/strong>, and the classic Outlaw Country<\/strong> movement of the 70s and 80s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lead singers Patrick Ballard<\/strong> and Josh Journeay<\/strong>, both from Greenville<\/strong>, Mississippi, have formed their own sound and beaming chemistry\u00a0through years of playing in honky tonks and dive bars together\u00a0in\u00a0Mississippi and the tri-state area. With songs rich in tight vocal harmonies, bluesy guitar licks, driving rock n roll\u00a0beats, and old school story telling, there is no question that the boys\u2019 roots run deep in their heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both Ballard and Journeay grew up in Greenville,\u00a0eventually becoming\u00a0roommates in a\u00a0double wide trailer outside of\u00a0Leland<\/strong>, where they began writing and booking local shows together. In late 2016, Patrick would move to Nashville <\/strong>and Josh would move to Oxford<\/strong>, but the boys stayed in touch, still sending song ideas back and forth and making music together. In 2018, when Josh and Patrick both happened to move back home to Greenville, the idea of The Ballard Journeay Show was sparked and the boys decided to pursue their dreams together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now living in the Jackson area, they are recording, writing, and playing shows; with even bigger plans for the future. The Ballard Journeay Show\u00a0released\u00a0their five song EP Where You From<\/em> in 2019. Since then, they have put out two singles “Best Part of Me” and “Next Last One”, in preparation of their first full length album.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The live show highlights the impressive talent of the band, with a crowd captivating show comprised of red dirt hits, and original songs layering the set with\u00a0authenticity you will only experience live at a Ballard Journeay Show. With the\u00a0high energy and smooth transitions of\u00a0this four-piece, folks from all over enjoy getting off their seats and on their feet towards the dance floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
